Three Benefits of Knowing a Foreign Language

          Knowing at least one foreign language besides the native language gives people many benefits. Nowadays, being a bilingual or even multilingual person makes someone be a more qualified human being. There are three main benefits of knowing a foreign language. First, a person will be able to receive widely range of information. Second, a person will have superiority in the world of work. Third, a person will be easier to grow networks around the world.

        In this internet era,

information spreads freely around the world. Knowing a foreign language especially an international language gives people many advantages. The people will be easier in searching information. The people also can share their information in foreign language to make it widespread all over the world through internet, magazines, and books.

        In world of work, people with a foreign language skill will be more valued. They are easier to find a job because that means they have more qualification. Besides, knowing a foreign language helps a business to survive the free trade economic era. If a business wants to expand the coverage to other country, knowing the country’s native language will helps a lot.

          Knowing a foreign language helps people to grow a wide network. With this ability, people can make friends with foreigner. Foreigners will be more open and respect a person if the person communicates with their native language. Knowing a foreign language helps people to understand other’s  culture, perspective, and way of life. A worldwide friendship network will enlarge a person’s chance to travel foreign countries.

          An ability to use a foreign language gives people many advantages. The ability is easier to have if they start learn it in early year of their life.
